Holding Power
In economy, people concern about demand & supply.
In business, people concern about biz model & cashflow.
In trading, traders concern about setups & holding power.
coz intrading, we can be right but can still end up as loser if we dont have that holding power.
Not holding a loss, but ability to holding a frog that can turn to a prince.
Entered, market did its magic and reversed, stop loss kicked in and market gave me the spelled magic frog, then market continue to its glory without me. It happens countless of times. Then I will look to other setups (countless).
Becoz my account is really micro and may be died soon after 9 years without topping, I need to relied to tic tac (reverse of tac tic)...the finer details of how to enter with a tight stop. The setups are more like maps (overviews)..the tic tac is like a compass (details) that may save the food rations/money (holding power),, in the market (the jungle).
Enough philosophy for tonight.
1st test ..won fake money USD 340++ in SIM, shorting green candle at close in trading chart, in short enviro (Yesterday daily candle was red, current candle near red, SR choppy).

I will reverse...
normally when I intent to short, I will short at red candle with the right enviro.
start tomorow when I intent to short, I will short at close of green candle with the right enviro.
Will see the outcome in SIM

Live loss -95usd
The good thing of live trade is..
when I got a loss, it will save me from SIMming time..
Money is time, and time is money.
Let go and simplify more things.
1) S&R and 2) dominant direction

Profit factor is far from 2,indicated the method cant stand drawdawn.
APPT - long term no hope. If I continue to have scalping mind with this system...guess the obvious.
I will sim back to glory with the same setup but with diff mentality outlook - looking for 'boxoffice

Candle pattern only valid in 5 min chart
It will not that accurate in other TF - showed that majority use 5 min candle pattern.. But it will not make me the champ with the golden gun. To be a champ, I need an edge.
btw.. for my current templates are:
1) Daily candle (standard)
2) 5000 volume - for SR (edge)
3) 5 min - for candle pattern (standard)
4) 1500 volume - for drawing lines (edge)
I called this.. D5515 setup , yaeh I know readers of this blog will laugh at how much I changed the setup since 2009...hahaha...even now my sierracharts file still full of setting names across the screen from left to right that left ..after I deleted previous hundreds of chart settings
Profitable SIM today and yesterday, and I plan to SIM D5515 till it burned into my subcon mind.
This setup is my jungle now.
Burn baby burn. Take me to a clear path.
I will be ready to live NQ this March..one year after ditching crazy CL

The mystery of trading mind
The manual sides of trading (not robot)
Just for thoughts
Hundreds of sim trading is not like one real trading.
Dont get me wrong..newbie needs hundreds of sim tradings.
But once we get one RELIABLE idea, it need to be tested with real trading.
But if real trading is ended with failure, does it make that idea is wrong ?
Nope. Becos it ALSO depends the state of trader's mind.
AND ,state of mind can be influenced by (charts) environments.
I found that my additional sma has changed my original idea in live market yesterday.
The origimnal idea will show the money yesterday, but it ended with failure becoz of 1 additional sma that not synhcro with my trading idea
So now I deleted that sma.
Same idea and same charts now... but now I will look for..
a) horizontal location of T8,
b) look for the 'close out' location
c) by using ema T8....dont look for pullback, look for current trend action.
