Cold CL

I found that CL behaves as cold as snow in December.
Like past years.. (refer to right side column - blue fonts).
I think its better to wait January...thats a long wait and probably my skills became rusted then..
Better find something better to do...

Opening 9am magic

Opening 9 am for CL trading seems has a magic of its own.
9am could be a starting point of a trend.
9am also could be a end point of a trend.
Its like a S R line.
eg. Monday 7 Dec -

No trade

Low price + December.

This  will be a difficult month to produce money.

+ve November Statement ..kipidap

1 dec trade : -15 ticks

Mistakes: Too much emphasis given to big frame chart.
Big and small frame must agree :: to be reliable.
Its already in the rules but trading mind no warming up.

MFE 20 tiks, then exit -ve 1tik

The Angel say take the profit 20tiks  but the Devil say can take all 40tiks.
Waiting price goes to previous day low proved backfired.
2 great lesson not found in the trading books  -
A)  price can wait  but time can'T.
B) a winner in trading can take half.

the actual 1st chance to short missed as I used limit order.
the 1st trade has mae -7 before +6 ,and 2nd trade mae -9 before +5.
my mental eneergy drained by mae, close pc then watch tv.

today 4tikc,,,,weekly 31 ticks

CL play squash again, which I'm not ready for these yet.
No space before open market..difficult to catch the 1st move.
Maintain 1st chart.
Adjusting 2nd chart for squash playing

+18 ticks, 1 trade

Market seems flat, then moving
Enter at sell mkt, exit at buy stop
Tried to hold longer but thats it.

CL change its rhythm and need differnt magnifying glass.
Too late to realize it when the move has done.
Managed to catch the tail of the ranbow

I think market has jetlag caused by DST changes. Every year like this

Early trade.
Lot of heat, I can sense sweat on my forehead.
And I began to doubt the position...market seem going nowhere and today is Friday..yikes
Even my dom frozen...oooh this is a bad omen...a black swan!
Quickly log in back, and saw in slow motion ...the market carry my short  to near previous close.
I close position ;+ 25t
Then market down another 7 ticks then bounce.
But enough.
I close my pc and getta out of here...woosh.

Fat finger clicked twice , so 2 lots at once in 1 st trade.
Again, ignoring the 1st signal that happen earlier than opening..
I should name that setup.....


as without name, my mind doesnt recognize it

Simple breakout was ignored as I was expecting a pullback that never happen.

Expecting pullback as market was slow prior to opening. This is an easy trade if it happen at opening.

Quite often CL made early move like this and I never took these "early" lessons  -countless times.

In case of breakout like this, next time I will use stop order entry, not market order as usual...

• Missed 1st opp to short due to early move - indicated by butter setup 1st then after 7 bars formed bread setup
• Long : 12 ticks via cross ma and formed butter setup . Up to 20 ticks but hold too long - not watching SR line,
• Remember SR line SR line SR line
• Interesting day - seldom happen on Friday.

choppy mkt 

Bread, butter & cheese.

My bread : Mov - (not availbale - so no trade on Tuesday)

My butter: Movfailed - this is interesting to watch (reminding me of  POP rule 1)

My cheese:  Squashline - available but still scared to use it in live trade, simply because the R:R is not that great compared to Mov setup.

I'm looking for breads only at the moment.

Put back that 1 "squash " feature after today live trades.
Simply cant test it in SIM, better test it in LIve trade
So this is the cost of doing business .
