A small account would put the best traders at a tremendous disadvantage. For the small trader who is trading for a living has to be able to go days or even weeks without many good trades. And then when that opportunity comes, the retail trader has to be prepared mentally and financially to take advantage of the market. You just inspired me to write a post about the difficulties of trading with a small account.
